Small plant, serious color. Petit Scarlet Kalanchoe packs clusters of vivid red flowers into a wonderfully compact package, surrounded by thick green leaves that make those tiny blooms stand out even more. Its petite size makes it especially easy to find a home for—on a desk, kitchen counter, nightstand, or anywhere that could use a bright little addition. Finished in a warm, neutral planter, it’s an easy gift to send and an equally tempting one to keep for yourself.
Let it dry a little.
Kalanchoes are succulents, so they hold water in their leaves and don’t need frequent watering. Allow the soil to dry between waterings, then water thoroughly without leaving the plant sitting in excess water.
Give those blooms some light.
Choose a spot with plenty of bright light. Good light helps your Kalanchoe stay healthy and supports its colorful flowers, though intense direct afternoon sun is best avoided.
Keep the flowers coming.
Kalanchoe blooms can put on a show for quite a while. As individual flowers finish, gently removing the faded blooms will keep the plant looking tidy. With continued care, your Kalanchoe can grow on long after its current flowers have had their moment.
Please note: Delivery dates may be delayed if temperatures are too low to protect plant quality and prevent freezing. Our blooming plants are subject to their natural growth cycles (typically April to June). Depending on when you place your order, your plant(s) may arrive without blooms.
